Senior Engineer - End User Desktop Services


Senior Desktop engineer who can support our Digital Workspace Platform Engineering team in technically developing, building, and maintaining hardware and software solutions related to the end-user environment. The technology focus is around Windows 10 Operating System standardization, deployment (OSD), and servicing, M365 device management and related client applications, Windows Autopilot and Intune.

What you will do:

•Create, implement, test, and document detailed-level technical designs for services and products in scope
•Provide advanced technical input regarding development, production, and support of end user Desktop environment along with relevant backend management systems
•Detail out business and technical requirements for complex systems and end-user computing infrastructure in consultation with architects, support teams, end-users, or Business management
•Support architecture team in product selection inclusive of PoC & RFI/RFP support
•Research on emerging technologies in support of systems development efforts, and recommend technologies that will increase cost effectiveness and systems flexibility
•Establish and leverage key strategic vendor relationships
•Recommending and implementing policies and standards and ensuring adherence to security procedures
•Manage small Infrastructure projects
•Manage small and medium-sized Build teams in larger Infrastructure projects
•Infrastructure Problem Management - provide 3rd level problem management support for end-user computing back-end infrastructure and Desktop products
•Participate in global virtual teams with architecture, engineering and operation teams enabling the on-boarding of new product/technologies to improve infrastructure supporting the global strategy

You should have:

Expert in managing Microsoft Windows 10 OS incl. deployment and servicing, and related Hardware maintenance tasks (driver certification and testing, BIOS and driver patching)
•Hands-on experience with products and technologies used to provide end-user Desktop services: Microsoft Endpoint Manager, Microsoft M365 offering, Windows Autopilot, Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policies
•Strong scripting skills preferably in Powershell, and with REST API/SOAP interfacing
•Strong analytical, problem solving skills
•Ability to work in a multi-functional and multi-cultural environment where consensus is paramount
•Good verbal and written communication skills in English language, with the ability to articulate complex ideas in easy to understand terms to peers, architects, and Business managers
•Able to work effectively under deadlines in a fast-paced, changing environment
•Strong collaboration and partnering skills: Ability to accomplish results through others, particularly by establishing relationships with partners

Nice to have:
