System Support Specialist – Desktop Virtualization


About the role:

This role in the Digital Workspace Service Platform department provides strong proactive and reactive consultation and support for various Desktop Virtualization technologies, with a focus on Chrome base devices, Google console administration, Appspace and Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI).

Responsibilities- Google console admin and Appspace:

•Manage and support user policies, device policies, network policies, accounts in google admin console.
•Identify customers business and technical requirements. Collect, synthesize, and analyze customer feedback to implement the solution.
•Manage and support chrome browser setting and extension thru google admin console.
•Manage and support all chrome OS devices in DPDHL environment. Setting up Kiosk mode, Managed Guest session mode or light workspace mode according to the business requirement.
•Manage and support 3rd party application – appspace for digital signage solution.
•Manage and support desk reservation and visitor management thru appspace.
•Manage and support meeting room solution thru appspace.
•Contribute to the design and development of the service.

Responsibilities- Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI):

•Manage and support virtual desktop environment (cloned with Windows 10) by providing troubleshooting related to virtual machines based on XenDesktop.
•Monitor and troubleshoot users virtual machines and infrastructure related issues via Citrix Director and VMware console.
•Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with virtual machine core components (Virtual Delivery Agent, Antivirus application, Citrix Workspace) software, office applications and operating system related issues.
•Manage and support active directory (AD) and group policy management (GPO) for virtual desktop environment.
•Contribute to the design and development of the service.

Required core skills in technical and non-technical areas:

•Strong knowledge of Google Cloud Technologies.
•Strong Knowledge of Mobile technology (Android)
•Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure Technologies.
•Strong knowledge of Administrating Windows Operating System (Windows 10)
•Strong Knowledge of VMware vSphere.
•Strong knowledge of Microsoft Applications (Microsoft 365 products)
•Strong knowledge of Citrix Xen Desktop 7.
•Strong knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policy Management.
•Knowledge in scripting (Powershell & Python) added advantage.
•Soft skills such as ITIL foundation V4, Prince2 are added advantage.
•Fluent knowledge of English.
