Unified Communications VoIP Engineer - Application Support



Our global Unified Communication and Collaboration team is looking for a new team member!
Unified Communication and Collaboration team is part of DPDL ITS Digital Workspace Services – Collaboration department.
This role is Senior Support specialist and includes work on build activities and various projects, proactive & reactive support, managing the daily operations of the UCC (Unified Communication and Collaboration) Services globally.


Global UCC team builds, supports and maintains various services, mainly MS Teams (incl. telephony and voice gateways), Zoom and Webex. The team is responsible for global infrastructure as well for cloud technologies. The managed services are consumed by more than 320 000 users and this global team operates from 3 regions (Asia MY, Europe CZ, AM CR and US). We are looking for the candidate who would extend our team of highly skilled professionals in Costa Rica.


• Implementation of VoIP services in UCC MS Teams environment and changes to existing services
• Provide 2nd level of support of UCC and VoIP services
• Provides Operations Acceptance activities to ensure accurate and timely release to production of new and/or enhanced services.
• Ensure that the applications and their support is undertaken based on the IT Operational standards, executed in line with the ITS Process and delivered within the requested timescales
• We emphasize teamwork hence provide advice and guidance to junior colleagues is a must


• Microsoft Teams, O365 components
• AudioCodes gateways
• Various telephony components / endpoints
• PowerShell Scripting
• Network troubleshooting


• Passion for Communication technologies with focus on UCC and Voice over IP
• Efficient with Session Initiation Protocol and VoIP troubleshooting
• Experience with configuring Session Boarder Controllers, PBXs
• Understanding of Data Networks and Security standards
• Ability to work independently and self-motivation, ability to drive projects forward
• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent experience
• 3- 5 years of working experience in Telephony environment, Data Networks, administration and support in large global environment preferably Skype for Business 2015/19, Microsoft Teams, O365 components or Voice services
• PowerShell skills
• Results oriented and driven by goal achievement with a strong focus on high quality
• Creative problem-solving skills and ability to work conceptually
• Customer-centric and end-users focused
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English for both written and oral
• ITIL Foundation/ Certification knowledge a plus
• Microsoft Certified in Skype for Business 2015/19/Online. O365 (MS Teams), any voice related certification
• PowerShell scripting
• Experience in a large, multi-vendor, computing environment
