Support Engineer with Node.Js Experience

Currently, we’re looking for a Support Engineer to join our Virtual Assistants Platform team. Through the technology passion of our team, the platform has grown from a proof-of-concept to a global platform used by all DPDHL divisions and millions of customers, and it now shapes the perception of DPDHL to our customers through state-of-the-art technologies. We are an agile team utilizing recent NLP and speech technology and delivering a truly global scalable solution used by millions of our customers.

• Provide support for chatbot applications on our platform written in Node.js
• Support Incident, Problem and Emergency Incident Management as required, prioritize requests in accordance with agreed criteria and the needs of the organization in accordance with SLAs
• Investigate problems and other requests for support and determine appropriate actions.
• Help the development team with automation
• Configure and use of monitoring services


• Experience with supporting various applications, preferably Node.js based
• MongoDB knowledge or other NoSQL database skills
• Experience with Linux/Unix and shell scripting
• Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS and browsers
• Experience with monitoring services, like Splunk/Grafana/Prometheus/Kibana
• Experience with containerization platforms like Openshift
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Ownership of problems and following them through in an end-to-end manner
• Coordinate with other support teams to solve issues
• Ability to be on-call

Nice to have:

• Experience with some flavor of JavaScript, preferably Node.js
• Familiarity with chatbots and messaging platforms
• Experience with various PaaS solutions offered by cloud platforms such as Azure, GCP etc. is a plus
• Experience with ticketing systems
• Familiarity with Natural Language Processing frameworks
